We have had quite the snow storm come through here. I haven't heard confirmed amounts but they say we got up to 17 inches. The drifts are unbelievable, you can see Larry's pants in the picture below, where his hand is where the drift in our back yard comes on him. He is 6ft 2 so that gives you some idea. Jaden is standing on our front walk and the pile is almost bigger than he is. There was a drift of snow coming off our roof (Larry knocked it down before it fell but it was neat to look out our patio and the snow just hanging there) I have to admit it is beautiful from the inside looking out. Schools were cancelled yesterday and today. Now we are on make up days so that means school is now out June 16th.
Jaden had fun playing outside and I couldn't resist taking a picture. He looked so cute with snowflakes on his nose and eyelashes.

Today was just kind of a blah day--to start with that is. It was so cold outside that we went--nowhere! So we did get some stuff done around the house that has been piling up. I really should have worked on our taxes but...another day.
There is one exciting thing that happened today. Ashton took his first step or maybe I should say steps. We are all very excited. Not to wish my baby big but I am so ready for him to walk.
Mariah is now potty trained. She just decided that she was done with this diaper bit and that was it. (She still wears a diaper at night or when she needs to poop) I just don't get that. I asked my Dr. if he knew of any tricks to get her to go in the toilet. His response "Gentle encouragement, it could take her up to 6 months before she goes in the toilet" Great, so I'll be cleaning out underwear for awhile. Does anybody have any tricks?

There is a cute little story behind this and here it goes. There was hardly any snow on the ground and I sent the kids out to play. In the front this time. I was in the house getting my littlest one ready and when I looked out I saw that the kids had dug some snow made this little snow path for their sled. They loved and had lots of fun. It is great to have older kids to come up with some of these creative ideas and have the energy to go through with it. So then we had to see how many we could fit in one little red saucer. 4 out of 8...not bad considering the saucer is quite small.Friday, December 28, 2007
Here we are again...

another snow advisory...
this time 4-6 inches...
Yes I have to admit it is beautiful but... enough already. Just heard today that Madison has had over 30 inches already this year. We have gotten more than they have so ummm you can go from there. Larry (Drives truck for Waste Management) was pulled off the roads today at 10:30 am. He was in Spring Green it took him 2 hours to get to Madison (should only take 45 min) He made it home safely around 1:30pm.
